Omio

Since March 2023, we've been building consumer relevance for Omio through data-driven storytelling, editor experiences and cultural moment campaigns, while simultaneously establishing Omio as a credible voice in Germany's public debate on rail reform and the future of mass transit. On the corporate side, we developed a proactive and reactive media programme targeting business and trade press, positioning Omio's CEO and senior spokespeople as go-to references on European mobility policy.

Since 2023 we run Omio's full press office across DACH - driving consumer awareness through creative travel storytelling while positioning the company as a leading voice in Germany's mobility and transport policy debate, with additional editorial leadership across Spain and Italy.
The Starting Point

Omio is one of Europe's longest-standing tech success stories: a Berlin-born mobility platform founded in 2012 that today bundles over 10 million routes across 1,000+ transport providers in 37 markets, covering train, bus, flight and ferry in one place. When we came on board in March 2023, the brand faced a dual challenge: consumers didn't yet think of Omio as their go-to travel companion, and despite being a genuine heavyweight in European mobility, Omio was largely absent from the policy and business conversations shaping the future of transport in Germany and beyond.

The strategic goal was to close both gaps simultaneously - building consumer relevance and cultural presence on one track, while establishing Omio as a credible, outspoken voice in the public debate around Deutsche Bahn reform, mass transit infrastructure and the future of sustainable mobility on the other.

What We Do

On the B2C side, we built an always-on storytelling engine around cultural moments, agenda surfing and evergreen travel narratives — activating Omio's proprietary data for story angles, producing editor experience trips that let journalists discover surprising routes firsthand, and tapping into conscious travel and sustainability messaging to differentiate Omio from legacy booking platforms. We led the full press office across DACH, and took on editorial leadership for the Spanish and Italian markets.

On the corporate side, we ran a proactive and reactive press office targeting business, financial and trade media — developing data-led opinion pieces, CEO and VP-level spokesperson profiles, background conversations with journalists and analysts, and reactive commentary on the rolling Deutsche Bahn and mobility reform debate. Brussels and EU-level press became an additional front as Omio's policy relevance grew.

What We Move

Omio moved from a brand with low consumer recognition to a regular presence in lifestyle and travel editorial — covered not as a booking utility but as an expert voice on how people move through Europe. In parallel, the company earned a seat at the table in Germany's most consequential mobility debate: media and policymakers began turning to Omio spokespeople for commentary on rail reform, multi-modal transport and the future of mass transit — a position the company had not held before. The full press office model meant both narratives reinforced each other: consumer trust and policy credibility built from the same foundation.
