Planet A

Green tech doesn't lack conviction. What it sometimes lacks is a room — a place where the founders, investors and visionaries building solutions to the planet's hardest problems can meet, exchange, and feel the scale of what they're collectively working on. Planet A Ventures, one of Europe's leading investment funds, understood that early.

When Openers became the agency behind the Planet A Summit, the brief carried its own weight. How do you design an event that does justice to a community of people who think in planetary terms? How do you make a room feel as serious, ambitious, and visually alive as the work happening inside it?
The Starting Point

Their model is unusually rigorous: scientific impact assessments inform every investment decision, across four areas — climate mitigation, waste reduction, resource savings, and biodiversity protection. The portfolio reflects a genuine belief that the most important businesses of the next decade are the ones solving environmental problems at scale.

What We Built
Planet A Summit 2024 — The Art of Change

The inaugural Summit in June 2024 was built around a single governing idea: that environmental transformation is not only a scientific and economic challenge, but a creative one. The theme — The Art of Change — shaped every element of the experience, from the room concept to the branding, with dynamic artwork and visual storytelling drawn directly from the Planet A portfolio running through the entire aesthetic.

The day was designed as a seamless arc. It opened with the Annual General Meeting — a focused session for 80 guests — before transitioning into a networking lunch and then expanding into the full Summit for 220 attendees. The program moved across the terrain of green tech's most pressing questions: the current state of the planet, the emergence of Climate AI, and the future of sustainable energy. Each topic chosen not for breadth, but for relevance to an audience that doesn't need convincing of the stakes.

We handled the event end to end — project management and budgeting, location scouting and handling, room concept, branding and design production, and the full production of both the AGM and the Summit itself.

Planet A Summit 2026 — Built for This

The second edition continued where the first left off — same scope, same ambition, and the same commitment to building a format that grows into a fixture on the green tech calendar. With Openers again responsible for the full production, from project management and location to branding and room concept, the Summit consolidated its identity as the annual gathering point for the European community building a more sustainable economy.

What It Moved

Two editions in, and the Planet A Summit has established something that takes most events years to earn: a format with its own identity. The Art of Change or Built for this  was not just another theme — it was a signal to an audience of scientists, founders, and investors that this was a room designed to take them seriously. That the visual language, the program, and the atmosphere had all been built with the same rigour they bring to their work.

From AGM to Summit, from 80 to 220 guests in a single day, the event was designed to hold two very kinds of conversation in the same space — the operational and the visionary — and make both feel at home. That balance, sustained across two editions, is what turns a one-off event into an annual moment worth building towards.
